PRISONER’S HOLIDAY
INCIDENT IN GLASGOW LONDON, July 27. Hundreds of spectators gazed spellI bound as a scantily-clad prisoner swarmed up the water-pipes like a cat, and precariously balanced himself on rhe lofty roof of Barlinni. Prison, Glasgow. There the risoner took off his shoes and socks and basked in the sunshine with, his jacket as a pillow. T 1 warders prevented spectators from taking snapshots of ’’’e man, who rose, walked on the roof, struck attitudes, and •lid physical jerks until sundown. Then he demanded hard-boHed eggs and a little fresh air. Eventually he was persuaded to descend.
