A HAPPY EVENING.

A very jolly evening was spent by a large ‘number of young people on Thursday evening in St. John’s Hail, Liverpool Street, when the Young People’s Fellowship of Christ Church, held a masked plain and fancy dress dance. The committee responsible for the success of the evening were Misses Senior, Gilbert, Caswell, Langton, Sears, Gannon, Messrs M. Broadhead, D. Caswell, Taylor and ’rice. The fancy dresses were judged by Miss Currie, who awarded the prizes to Miss N. Westwood (Safety First), and Mr D. Langslow (dressed as a girl). Supper was also an important item on the programme and everyone voted the evening a thoroughly enjoyable one.
