Mrs F. E. Hardy, of New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs N. Fulton, St. John’s Hili. Miss Margaret Porter, who has been on the nursing staff of the Wellington Hospital for the past twelve months, is spending a few days in Wanganui. Mrs Mary Avcl was a Hunterville visitorJto Wanganui for the show. Nliss Winifred Yates, of Napier, visited Wanganui this week and was the guest of Mrs Gertrude Wall, Wanganui East. Miss Hallam, of Reading, England, is an English bacteriologist who is visiting Wanganui, and is the guest of Mrs Sampson, Upper Aramoho. Miss E. Howell, of Taumarunui, is visiting Wanganui. Miss Gudgeon, of Dunedin, is visiting her sister, Mrs Rayney Jackson, Turakina. Mrs Walter Stewart, Wicksteed Street, was hostess on Thursday afternoon at an afternoon tea given in honour of Mrs J. Neame, who has just returned from a long holiday abroad. Mrs James Watt, formerly of St. John’s Hill, has returned from Dunedin for a few months’ visit. Mrs Watt is staying at Braeburn. Miss Hilda Rogers, of Turakina, is the guest of Mrs Vaughan, Belmont. Mr and Mrs W. Wilson and Mr Graham Wilson, of “Rosemont,” Hunterville, visited Wanganui for Show week. Miss M. McLeod, of Wellington, paid a short visit to her mother, Mrs McLeod, Wanganui East. Miss Cowlands is an English visitor to New Zealand and is at present the guest of Miss Sampson, Somme Parade. Sister Kelly, of Dannevirke, is staying with Mrs Burr, Aramoho. Mr and Mrs G. V. Pearce, of Kakaramea, motored to Wanganui for the A. and P. Show. The afternoon tea hostesses for the Wanganui Croquet Club are Mcsdames BallingaH, Moffett and Rowling. Mr R. J. Harris (Marton) and Mr Sydney Rathbone (Wanganui) were recent callers at New Zealand House, London. Miss Laird is spending a few days at Taumarunui.
