A RECORD TRIP

MALOLO AT SUVA (Special to “Chronicle”) AUCKLAND, Dec. 4. An hour ahead of schedule, the Matson tourist steamer Malolo arrived at Suva from Auckland at 10 a.m. to-day. The Malolo left Auckland at 8.15 p.m. on Tuesday last. Her steaming time for the distance of 1140 miles was approximately 61 hours, which means that she maintained an average speed of 18.78 knots. Her time is a record for the trip.
