A DANGEROUS BULL
FARMER’S NARROW ESCAPE [ Per Pifcss Association.] TE AWAMUTU, Dee. 6. A well-known Pirongfa farmer, Thomas Steel, when driving a young Jersey bull to a paddock yesterday, was savagely attacked by the animal and knocked off his horse. Tho latter was severely gored, while Steel scrambled under a hedge. A lorry driver named Mounsel heard Steel’s cries and drove the lorry at tho bull, diverting its attention while Steel crawled through the hedge. The horse was badly gored, necessitating seventeen stitches. The rider escaped with bruises.
