GOVERNMENT GRANTS
CASTLECLIFF SIDE SCHOOL BENEFITS. The Hon. W. A. Veitch, Alinister of Labour, telegraphed to the “Chronicle” yesterday to the effect that Cabinet had approved of a grant for additional accommodation at thia Castlecliff side school. This decision will mean the supplying of a long-felt want. At present the side school consists of a single room in which two teachers are engaged. The intention is to extend the building and improve the accommodation generally. On inquiry at the office of the Wanganui Education Board last night, it was learned also that the Government had approved of a. grant for the District High School, Ohakune, to provide for increased attendance at that institution.
