SOCCER
WANGANUI ASSOCIATION FIXTURES FOR TO-DAY. The Wanganui Football Association’s competition for the 1928 season is now well under way and the fixtures set down for decision to-day will attract still further interest. There should be a fair crowd of “Soccer” enthusiasts at Victoria Park to-day to see the two senior matches, for which the referees are as follows: K.P.’s v. Thistle, on No. 1 ground, Mr Phizaeklea. Workshops v. Eastbrooke, on No. 2 ground, Mr F. Phillips. In the Junior grade the referees will be Messrs S. Stewart nad W. Turner. Teams for To-day. The following teams will participate in to-day’s matches in addition to those published yesterday morning:— Eastbrooke.—G. Barker, T. McKie, A. Webster, J. Bolton, L. CJapham, G. Gillon, W. Upton, E. Jones, F. Killeen (eapt.), J. Fyfe, V. Clapham. Reserves: Bell, Beckett. Woollen Mills Juniors (to be chosen from the following).—B. Cartwright, W. Kerwin, S. Tasket, G. McKintyreJ W. McKintyre, H.
