WITH THE CASH RIDERS WANGANUI CHAAIPIONSHIP. CRUTCHLEY’S FASTEST TIME. Stan Crutchlcy won the 25-mile road championship run by the Wanganui Professional Cycling Club on Alonday last, the King’s Birthday holiday. The winner put up the record time of Ihr. 3min. 10 2 ssee. Nineteen riders faced the starter for the evenl, which was decided over the Kaimatira course. The limit men left the mark at 2 p.m , while the scratch men did not leave till six minutes later. Williams, Bonner and Bishop, the three young riders who were on the limit, were caught by the men on the 4min. and 4Amin, marks before the final lap. The newcomers proved too good in the sprint home, R. Williams being the first to cross the line, while Bonner was second and Taylor third. Although the serai h man, S. Crutchley, had to ride the greater part of the journey alone he was not far away at the finish.
