CASTLECLIFF CLUB CATHRO’S FINE CARD. The following is the result of Saturday’s bogey competition at the Castlecliff Golf Club’s links. In the senior division L. Cathro won 5 up; J. H. Dean was second, 1 up, and F. Currie third, 5 down. L. Cathro, Castlecliff Club’s leading ' representative, played a beautiful game of golf. Unfortunately he caught the sand at the last hole and took seven to finish. Cathro was heartily congratulated by the club members on his excellent performance. The following is a copy of his card:— Out: 3 4 4 4 3 4 3 5 3—33. In: 5 4 5 3 5 3 3 6 7—41. Total: 74. In the junior division L. Sharpin and L. Bassett tied for first place. Three tied for second place, these be ing H. Rowling, Rev. Weller, and W. Gaskill. King’s Birthday Competition. On Monday (King’s Birthday holiday) an all-day bogey competition was held. There was a large number of players, but the cards handed in were not too good; although the weather from the golfers’ point of view was all that could be desire. The following is the result: : — The first bogey competition was won by W. R. Tustin, junr., 1 up on bogey. The afternoon bogey match was won by N. Totty, 3 up on bogey, with J. Wilson second, 2 up. It is very pleasing to note that the young players of the Castlecliff Golf Club are making rapid improvements in their game. To-day the annual match, president v. vice-president, will be held, players being paired at the club house. All players are asked to make a point of letting the faster players go through.

SEAFIELD LADIES’ CLUB NEXT TUESDAY’S DRAW. The second round of the competition for Mrs Wills’ trophy will be played by the Seafieid Ladies’ Golf Club on Tuesday next.
