A CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT NATIONALISTS SUFFER DEFEAT. Received Aug. 15, 8.30 p.m. (Sun Cable.) MALTA, Aug. 15. The Legislative Assembly’s general election, under proportional representation, resulted in the return of 15 Constitutionalists, of whom Sir Gerald Strickland is the leader, 13 Nationalists, three Labourites and one Independent. The outgoing Nationalists were thus defeated, the Constitutionalists and Labourites having entered a pre-elec-tion compact.
