EUGBY Bulls juniors scraped up a team on Wednesday to play Marton Athletics on the Domain and were soundly beaten by 49 to 5. The packs were evenly matched, but the visitors’ superiority in the rearguard was most pronounced, and weak tackling allowed Dobson, Ledingham and Co. to score practically whenever they wished. Cole registered Bulls’ only try, Bevan converting with a good kick After the mounteds’ encampment the local junior team will probably be greatly strengthened, and later in the season they are likely to give a better showing. TO-NIGHT’S ENTERTAINMENT Pupils of the Alarton District High School have made a decided “hit” with the playette, “The Wishing Cap,” and the fact that they have consented to stage the entertainment at Bulls this evening in order to help the funds of the Bulls School tennis court, should ensure a large attendance. PICTURE PROGRAMME On Saturday evening a double programme will be screened at the Bulls Town Hall. Owing to the breakdown on Wednesday evening when the picture “Cowboy and the Duchess” was being shown, this picture will be screened free of charge after the interval. “The Amateur Gentleman,” Richard Barthclmess’ latest First National release, which is the other feature, is a romantic and adventurous cinema tale teeming with spectacular situations and offering the star great opportunities for heroic buccaneering and intense lovemaking.
