SOMETHING NEW

COMMUNITY LAUGHING SUGGESTED BROADCASTING EXPERIMENT. LONDN, April 26. A suggestion has been made that the 8.8. C. should broadcast community laughing. No date has been fixed for the experiment, but, if it is made, as it probably will be, a group of persons in the London Studio and others at Birmingham. Manchester, and other stations will be induced to laugh by some means —perhaps by joke or by a comic song. London will laugh first, and as the laughter cf London dies away that from Birmingham and Manchester will follow, the object being to amuse listeners and, perhaps, because laughter is infectious, to start them laughing too.
