ABSENT SEAMEN
MANUKA’S SAILORS SKIP? JACK PREFERS TO STAY ASHORE [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 3. When the Manuka halted at Port Chalmers last evening to put an injured trimmer ashore, several hands went ashore and had not returned to the ship this morning. Tho vessel had not sailed for Lyttelton at 1 p.m. It is hoped to get her away some time today.
