HORSEMAN’S FALL
SAWMILL MANAGER KILLED. [Per Press Association] TAUMARUNUT, Feb. 2. Carl Beck, a well-known sawmill manager, met with a fatal accident this afternoon. He was riding a horse along a road about three miles from Taumarunui. A Hindoo scrubcutter in the vicinity heard the horse galloping hard, and on going to investigate found Air. Beck lying unconscious, f..ce downwards, on the road. When a doctor was called he pronounced life extinct.
