Tho House on Tuesday defeated by 139 to 17 a proposal in tho form of an Appropriation Bill Amendment which would have prohibited tho resort to “Fraud, deceit and falsehood” in tho use of any of 250,000 dollars set aside for buying liquor as evidence in prohibition enforcement cases.
