A GAMBLE
LOTTERIES IN DOMINION AUCKLANDER CHARGED. AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. At the Police Court Joseph Kilgour pleaded guilty to disposing of two tickets in a lottery on the New Zealand Cup, started in Sydney. Kilgour had a book of tickets sent to him and sold some of them. Mr Poynton, S.M.: “This country is simply saturated with lotteries. 1 received two books myself some time ago, and promptly destroyed them. 1 am satisfied the defendant has been the dupe of the promoters. He will be ordered to pay the costs.”
