PRISONERS SENTENCED
BREAKING AND ENTERING. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. At the Supreme Court, Judge Reed sentenced Clifford Nelson for double breaking, entering, theft and arson, forging and uttering to three years’ hard labour and declared him an habitual criminal. William Knox, alias Johnston, alias Verney, for breaking, entering and theft (convicted fourteen times in the last four years), was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal.
