TO SETTLE DISPUTES
SHIPBUILDING AND ENGINEERING TRADES FEDERATION’S BALLOT. AN INTERESTING PROPOSAL. LONDON, Dec. 22. The Federation of shipbuilding and engineering trades is balloting during the holidays whether to accept the joint committee’s draft agreement to operate for three years, terminable at six months’ notice by either side, designed to establish, machinery, for prompt conciliation in the event of disputes and to avoid strikes.
