As a sequel 1o the, shooting case on the 9th inst.., William Richard Wallace, who refuses to give cither age or occupation, was committed for trial on a charge of murdering Williams. I While two electricians, Ernest Williams, aged 23. and .Inane Mac. Robert son—both Americans wore lunching at a cafe a man at a nearby table told them not tn smoke. Words followed. Williams left, the table and ’ -tlked outside. The man followed, and after an argument it is alleged the stranger put his hand in his hip pocket. Williams made a blow at him, and tried to grasp the hand in the pocket. The stranger is alleged to have pulled a> revolver, wrapped in a handkerchief, from his pocket and fired at Williams, the bnl let piercing his heart. The stranger ran away, but, a constable who wa* sit ting in a shop on the opposite side, of the road pursued and arrested himLater William R. Wallace, of Melbourne, was charged with murder.]
