AT THE EXHIBITION ENTERPRISING SALESMAN DUNEDIN, Dec. 21. At the Police Court, Dawid Livingstone was charged that b;r* means of certain device, he disposed of personal property, such being allottvxi by the drawing of envelopes at a stsand at the this being made a chance. He was fined £5. Assistants disposed of roJnlish material which defendant calhsxl eastern florient, an alleged disinfectant. Each packet, at a cost of one shilling, had a coupon attached, and the purchaser handed this to the assistant rr.jd received an article plus the parJcct. The Magistrate held that no judfpnent or discrimination on the part of the customer could possibly be exorcised in order to obtain any particular* rebate. The fine was increased in order to give defendant an opportunity of appealing.
