Bulls and Rata meet at Rat?, and Huntcrville and Athletics at Huntcrville. JUNIOR SHIELD AIARTON 12 v. HUNTERVILLE 3 On the Alarton Park the labove teams met on Wednesday and the match resulted in a good forward game, several forward rushes by Alarton being very effective. From a scrum near Hunterville’s line A. AfcDonald secured and, using the blind side, transferred to Jensen Avho scored at the corner flag. ' Benscmann failed to convert. Forward play followed and Broughton scored. Th<s first spell ended: Alarton 6, Hunterville 0. The second spell was evenly contested. Fox kicked a penalty goal for Huntcrville. A Marton forward rush ended in Gould scoring a try, and a few minutes before call of time Bensc- \ man drop kicked a goal from a penalty. Rev. P. H. Leonard refereed. The game was one of the friendliest CA'or played on the park, and at times the players were quite humorous in their badinage. BULLS 9 v. RATA 6. At Bulls the home team won by 9 points to 6 a her an evenly contested game. For the winners Tricker scored a try, Gillons from a mark drop-kicked a neat goal, and Tinnings kicked a penalty. On Tuesday evening a most successful series of six progressive euchre evenings under the auspices of the above church was concluded with a record attendance. The winners were— Ladies: Airs W. Brock. Gentlemen: Air AVatt. Consolation: Aliss Avery (ladies) and Air J. O’Shaughnessy (gentlemen). The aggregate prizes for the series were Avon by Airs G. Bevan (ladies) and Air P. Gordon gentlemen) and the consolation prizes by Airs Dudley and Mrs J. O’Shaughnessy. It is intended to hold another series of five.

Mr Richardson will referee in the Rangitikei-Wanganui junior rep. match at Wanganui on Saturday. The visitors will be entertained at dinner at the Criterion Hotel.
