HOYLAKE CHAMPIONSHIP LONDON. .Tunc 26. At the Hoylake open golf championship,], there was a huge attendance. Scores at the end of the first round were: Cyril Tolley (Royal Ancient) 73, George Duncan (Hanger Hill), Len Holland (Northampton), and Mark Seymour (St. Leonard’s) 74 each; E. Douglas (Robin Hbod), Aubrey Boomer (St. Cloud), Gilbert Nicholls (America), and J. Taylor (Mid-Surrey 75); the Americans, McDonald and Smith, 76; Hagen 77, Barnes 78 and Sarazcn S 3. Reuter LONDON, June 25. At Holylake the long driving ehampionhip was won by J. Smith, of Cantelupe, with the best aggregate of three of four drives with 236yds 10ft 2in, 247yds .12ft and 244yds Ift.
Mitchell’s aggregate was 666yds Ift and Duncan’s 653yds.
