ALLEGED THEFT

(Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, April 13

At the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Ralph Henry Percy Cooke, aged 27. accountant in the Gas Department of the Masterion Borough, was charged that between April 4 and 7 at Masterton he received the sum of £54 10/6 on terms requiring him to account for same to the Council, and omitted to co so, thereby committing theft. The accused, who was arrested in Christchurch yjsterday, was reimanded in custody to appear at Masiterton on Tuesday.
