DEMPSEY AS MINE OPERATOR
NEW YORK, April 12. Dempsey, the famous boxer, has purchased a controlling interest and has been chosen chairman of the board of directors of the Western Coal Mining Company, a three million dollars concern, owning large tracts of coal lands in Utah. Dempsey, who in his youth was a miner, declared that he expects to make coal operating his life work.
