Bruce, eldest son of Mr. 1. |>, Bruce, of Akaroa. The ma-ria o service was conducted by the I;. , Evan R. Harries. The bride, wli■> was given away by her father, v. georgette overlace which was p, lily trimmed with little cii-eh-. of , pink forget-me-nots laced togi-it-with silver. She also wore the o. thodox veil with orange blossom ... , carried a beautiful bridal sin. . bouquet. The chief bridesm.. ~ Miss M. The other bride. were Misses Betty faldweil an-.l Joan Singleton, who wore creme m i frilled dresse’s with , a. sashes and black hats. The brittt, > maids carried beautiful boquiy . ; apricot and autumn Hutu. Mr. R. Bruce, of Akaroa, was best Mrs. W. J. Treadwell, the I. : , mother, wore a navy blue crop.chine coat dress with hat io mai,. After the wedding a reception w.. held. The bride's travelling dr . was a fawn gaberdine with nig brown chenille trimming. She aLi wore a small fawn and pink trimmed witn fawn berries. t COLE—McNEILL. At St. John’s Church yesterday fhe marriage of Miss Vera Cole, third daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Cole, ol Rosehill, Pambula, New South Wales, to Mr Joseph McNeill, liiir. son of Mr J. McNeill, of Wangan . East, was solemnised, Archdeaeor Reeve being ihe officiating minister he bride, who was given away b-.-Mr Will Gaze, was becomingly aitired in white silk bengaline with geoi gette drapings, mob cap. pretty veil and orange blossoms, and tarried a handsome bouquet of whit ■ stocks, lilies of the valley, heath, and asparagus and maidenhair fern The bridesmaids were Miss Violet Caiman, of Hamilton, cousin of the bride, and little Miss Winnie Martin, nieces of the bridegroom. The former wore a dress of lavender silk crepe with georgette and bead trimming.-*, a hat of black tulle and lavender streamers, and carried a pretty boul quet of pink roses and sweet peas. Miss Martin was very dainty in creme net oven white silk, lemon-shaded tulle hat. and in her hand held a little basket of shaded pink roses and sweet peas. The bridegroom, who saw service in Egypt with the >Bth Mounteds. Sth Regiment, was attended by his nephew, Mr Leslie Hunt, as best man. The hridegrdom’s present tc the bride was a handsome pea(M "ing. land to each of the bridesmauls a silver purse. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a leather suitcase. After the ceremony an adjournment was made to tho Aolea Tearooms. where Mr and Mrs D. Mr and Mrs McNeill left, amid showers of confetti and good wishes, oy motor for Marton, on route for torua, where the honeymoon is t< oe spent, before making their home in Hamilton.
