THE WEATHER.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. Westerly disturbances have intensified since Tuesday night, and strong and squally westerly winds have prevailed. The weather has been unsettled, and considerable rain has fallen in districts with a westerly aspect. Forecast: Present indications are for west to south-west, winds, strong to gale, and unsettled conditions, with heavy showers generally, and snow on high country of the South Island. Barometer rising, but. probably only temporarily, in the South.
