Public Notices. THE CASE AGAINST PROHIBITION THE CASE AGAINST PROHIBITION ; HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. SUNDAY NEXT, 8.30 p.m. His Worship the Mayor presiding. GEORGE DURHAM. GEORGE DURHAM. '," GEORGE DURHAM. Extract from Judge Poynton's remarks: —"Mr. Durham possesses an extraordinary degree of fluency, and has the power of working his audience to an enthusiastic pitch which is remarkable."—Kalgoorlie, August, 1910. COME—HEAR—YOU1 WILL NEVER FORGET IT. THE PATE A SEAT. MR POWDRELL'S CANDIDATURE. A representative meeting of delegates from Mr Powdrell's committees from all over the Electorate was held in Waverley on Tuesday last, Mr A. Hunter being in the chair. There were 38 delegates, and ten apologies were received. The meeting was very enthusiastic throughout, and very encouraging reports were received from the whole Electorate. The following resolution was carried:— "That this fully representative meeting of delegates ot Mr Powdrell's Committees from the whole electorate, after having heard read the telegram received by Mr Powdrell from Mr Massey, unanimously adhere to the decision, already come to by the District Committees,,that Mr Powdrell's Committee absolutely refuse to allow Mr Powdrell to withdraw from the contest, and although Mr Massey has endorsed Mr Pearee's candidature this meeting is convinced that the only hope of retaining this seat for the Reform Party is for Mr Powdrell to contest the seat, as Mr Pearce has lost the confidence of the electors, and has no possible chance of winning at the forthcoming election."
