Maori members of an Expeditionary Force are entitled to vote at the General Election for the election of Maori members only, but are entitled to vote at the Licensing Poll. 2. Members yho are enrolled as electors are subject in all respects to the provisions applicable to ordinary electors, except that they may vote beyond the boundaries of the district for which they are registered without being required to produce an absent voter's permit on production of the documentary evidence referred to in the paragraph following. 3. Members who are not enrolled as electors, or who, being so enrolled, desire to vote outside their districts without an absent voter's permit, must produce at the polling-place documentary evidence that they have served beyond the seas as members of an-Expeditionary Force. Any of the following classes of documents will be accepted as sufficient: — (a.) A certificate of discharge from the Expeditionary Force after service beyond the seas; or (bi) A leave certificate, hospital certificate, or other status certificate issued by a competent mili- "■'■'■'. tary authority. 4. Any member who is not enrolled as an elector may vote as an elector of— (a.) The electoral district (as existing at the date of the election) within which he was resident at the date of his first becoming a member of an Expeditionary Force; or (b.)
