TW"OTTCE is hereby given that at a -~ Special Meeting of The Wanganui Borough Council duly convened and held at the Council Chambers St. Hill Street Wanganui on the 18 th day of November 1919 the following Resolution (intended to operate as a Special Order) was duly passed:— THAT the Wanganui Borough Council doth hereby in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of The Local Bodies Loans Act 1913 The Municipal Corporations Act 1908 The Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1913 and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf RESOLVE BY SPECIAL ORDER: FIRST: To raise a Special Loan of and to borrow the sum of Twentyfive thousand pounds (£25,000) for the purpose of erecting on land within the Borough (appropriated by the Council for that purpose for occupation by workers employed or resident in the Borough) thirty (30) separate buildings in brick concrete or other durable material for workers' dwellings pursuant to the provisions in that behalf contained in Section 325 Sub-section 2 of The Municipal Corporations Act 1908 and Section 53 of The Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1913. SECONDLY: That the said Special Loan of £25,000 to be so raised shall be for a term of twenty six (26) years and be repayable at the Bank of New Zealand Wanganui on the Ist day of January 1946. THIRDLY: That the interest on the said Special Loan shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand Wanganui at the rate of Five pounds five shillings (£5:5:0) per centum per annum payable half-yearly on the first day of July and the first day of January in each year during the currency of the said loan. FOURTHLY: That a Sinking Fund be established during the currency of the said Special Loan of Two pounds (£2) per centum per annum on the amount for the time being of the said loan actually borrowed foror towards payment of such loan at it's maturity. - . FIFTHLY: That the security for the said special Loan shall be an annually recurring special rate of threepence (3d.) in the pound upon the annual Value of all rateable property within the Borough of Wanganui the boundaries whereof are deflnted in The New Zealand Gazette of the 19th day of December 1912 Number 92 (1912) at page 3618. SIXTHLY: That the Council appropriate and pledge by way of security to provide for the payment of interest on the said loan and the charges and expenses incident thereto and the payment of such Sinking Fund the said annually recurring special rate of Threepence (3d.) in the pound upon the annual value of all rateable property within the said Borough of Wanganui. SEVENTHLY: That the first year's interest on the loan and the cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan. EIGHTHLY: That the Sinking Fund for the first year be not paid out of the Loan. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the above Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday the 16th day of December 1919 at 7.30 o'clock p.m. at the said Council Chambers St. Hill Street, Wanganui.
