The new programme attracted large houses at both sessions yesterday. The Metro feature,. "The Mortal Sin," is a very strong story within a story, which leads up to a powerful and bewildering climax. Viola Dana gives a "lever emotional display of a difficult part, in which" she is supported by an all-star cast. Perfect photography and sumptuous settings in conjunction with excellent acting, all go to make the production a standard success. A dramatisation of "David Cqpperfield," Chas. Dickens' great work, was also, shown. " David Copperfield" has been described <n» the best motion picture ever made in England, .and it is said to be easily the most popular, its success in Great Britain being of the phenomenal order. '•Co see such a firm favourite acted by English stars, and presented in photographs from the great Hepworth Camera, constitutes a treat to lovers of Dickens, and also all other classes c£ picture patrons.. "The Co-operative Weekly Review" and an excellent con* edy complete a perfect programme.
