THE ENGLISH PIERROTS.

Th e clever musical combination, the English Pierrots, which toured the Dominion on two. occasions some five and six years ago, will make their reappearance in this town at the Opera House on Thursday and Friday next. As on the previous occasion, the coinpa ny is under the direction of Will and Rob Thomas, who were the pioneers of this class of entertainment in Australasia some 17 years ago. The English Pierrots are not only decidedly musical and gifted with bright and breezy humour which is most infectious, but each member has the happy faculty of co-operating with his fellowis in such a manner that the harmonious effect gained is entirely spontaneous. There is fun-, wholesome and clean, which may be taken as a reason for the bestowal of the hall-mark of popularity on the company. The repertoire of the Pierrots is most extensive. Th© English Pierrots are a company Ol nine performers, comprising singers, raconteurs, and comedians who have drawn largelyfrom the world's supplies for their almost endless repartoire. The voices of the English Pierrots have created the most favourable comment, for though the work of the company is mainly humorous, the vocal standard has beeD kept up to a high level, so that in the humorous concerted work it. is not only the lighter vein which is touched, but the musical taste is appealed to as well. The box plan is now open at H. I. Jones.
