ROSS MINE FLOODED

(Per Press Association.) HOKITTKA, March 22. The Ross mine was flooded on Saturday owing to a break in the water race interfering with the working the hydroelectric plant. The Diesel engine was set in motion, but it was found that the water supply for cooling the engine was cut off and it became necessary to draw the pumps. ' This <was carried out successfully, and in addition to securing Vvyo motors one starter was also brought to the surface. Repairs are being effected to the race and operations will be resumed in a few days.
