BRANCH TO BE OPENED IN WELLINGTON.

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "Chronicle.") WELLINGTON, October 24. It was recently announced that the Commercial Bank of Australia, the headquarters of which are in Melbourne, had decided to open branches in New Zealand. It is stated now in financial circles, on what appears to be good authority, - that the recently-formed Commonwealth State Bank will open a New Zealand branch in Wellington.
