PROFITABLE SEASON PROMISED.
Farmers in tho Walrarapa and Forty Mile Bush districts are promised a highly profitable season this year. Produce- of every kind is commanding record prices, and the outlook for wool and frozen meat is most encouraging. Eight buyers of stock (including four from the South Island) will be ooe; ing in the Wairarapa this season. It is considered that the opening price for lambs and ewes will bo 145.. and thatprime fat wethers, off tkp shears, will range from 17s to 18s. This is a distinct advance upon the opening prices of last year.
