TRAMWAY EMPLOYEES DISSATISFIED.
(Per Press Association.) •CHRISTCHURCH, March 19
A largely attended meeting of Tramway employees was held at anr early hour this morning to discuss grievances. The executive had recommended that members of the Trades and Labour Council and representatives of the newspapers be allowed tobe present, but the meeting decided not to permit the reporters to remain on the grounds that the report of the discussion might inflame the public and get the Board's back up. The meeting last from 12.15 a.m. till 3.15 a.m. On the Secretary being approached for a report, he stated1 that under instructions from the meeting, he had. nothing to communicate for publication. It is understood that widespread dissatisfaction exists amongst the 'employees due to annoying pin pricks, consequent on the untactful methods of inspectors. The general management also is the cause of considerable dissatisfaction.
