PERSONAL.
A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised in Wanganui yesterday, the Rev Morton officiating. The contracting parties were Mr Albert Vinsen ; third son of Mr Robt. Vine-en, of Wellington, and Mi?s Martha Cox, only daughter of- Mr E. Cox, of Haswell Street, -Wanganui. The bride, who was given away .by her father, was supported by Miss Emma Vin&en (sister of the bridegroom) aa bridesmaid, and the bridegroom by Mr Percy Cox (brother of the bride) as best man. After the ceremony a largo number of guests were entertained by the parents of the bride. Wo join in "wishing the young couple a long, prosperous and happy wedded life. A Masterton wire says that although the condition of Mr James, the Magistrate, has improved, he will be unable to take ur> magisterial duties again for fully a month. No locum ton ens has yet been appointed so far as is aecertainable locally. A Palmerston wire says that Lady Plunket. Miss Hill, and family go to Auckland to-day to reside at Government House there until the' end of September. Lord Plunket is expected to join them from the Cook Islands on the Oth or 7th instant. The party subsequently returns to the Palmerston residence, after being in Wellington during the session.
