WATKIN MILLS QUINTETTE PARTY.
SUCCESSFUL OPENING AT
INVERCARGILL
The following telegram has been received, quoting from the "Southland Times," Invercargill: "Mr. Watkin Milh' Quintette Party opened their Neiv Zealand tour this evening to a packed house, and the quality of the concert given, was o.f such surpassing excellence that the triumphant success of the tour is assured/ This will be pleasant reading to Mr. Mills' many admirers in Wanganui, and the concert here on Tuesday, the 26th September, will bo largely looked forward to. Since his last appearance in Wanganui, Mr. Mills has fuiSlled engagements in Americh and England; where he organised tho present quintette for the Australian and New Zealand tours. In the Commonwealth States they were remarkably successful, as doubtless most of our readers know, arid this success is snro to bo repeated in New Zealand. -Mr. Mills' company consists of Miss Edith Kirkwood (soprano), Miss Gertludo Lonsdale (contralto), Mr. Harold Wildo (tenor), with Mons: Eduard Parlovitz at tho piano. The concerted singing of the quartette is extolled in tho highest terms by Press and public, and as every member of the party is a singer of European repute,, it is hardly necessary to say that their solo work leaves nothing to be desired., September, the 26th, is worth remembering by lrus:c lovers throughout the district.
