ARAMOHO BOATING CLUB.
THE ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the above club was held in the Club's Hall on Tuesday evening, some thirty members being present. Mr W. T. Benefield, vice-pre-sident, occupied the chair. The report and 'balance sheet was presented, and members must feel proud of the healthy state of tihe clubs finances, the total receipts for tihe year, including ibazaar, ibeing £250 odd, and the excess of 'assets over liabilities shows the substantial 'balance of £329. The election of officers resulted as follows :-J?atro», >Majoi' H. Lomax; President, Mr W. T. Beneifield; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs. Luxford, Kydd, Henderson, Littlewood, and Donovan; Captain, (Mr J. Lititiewood; Deputy-Captain, Mr F. Hayward; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr C. A. Pai-ke; Assistant Secretary, 'Mr L. Brandon; Auditor, Mr. McGee; Custodian, -Mr W. Stokes; Selection Committee, (Messrs H. Davis, A. E. Benefield, and F. H'aywood; Starter, Mr Henderson; Judge, Mr M. T. Benefield; Committee of Management, Messrs A. E. Benefield, C. Bridges, R. Fremont, G. Tasker, H. Davis, M. Murphy, and G. Hay wood; Hon. Coach, Mr T. Allison; Life Member, Mr T. Mitchell. ' __ Trophies were promised by Messrs W. T. Bemefield and G. Littlewood, besides which the dub 'have the Mitchell Shield and tie Challenge Cup for single sculls presented by Mr A. H. Benefield, so that members will not have to stand idle long waiting for trophies this season. It was decided Ito order a new best' and 'best four from Edwards and Son, to be-(here in time for the coining season.
The following new membea-s were elected: Messrs L. Brandon, L. Walker, A. E. Benefield, W. Dawes, F. Henderson, T. Mahoney, ■A. Anderson, and F. J. Denton.
Vot&s of it-hanks were passed to the retiring officers for the aible manner in which they had carried out their respective duties. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair brought the moist successful annual meeting held in the annals of the dub to a close, and judging by the amount of enthusiasm' showii by all p^resent the forthcoming season .promises to be one of the most successful in, the clubs history.
