The Marlborough Poultry Association's championship show was opened to-day The total number of entries is 543, 'and the Wyandotte, Orpington, and Leghorn classes are well filled. Ihe South Island championships were al\ lotted as follows:—White Leghorns, Carmody and Patchett; Silver Wyandottes, J. D. Iremonger ; Minorca, Mrs. A. Bennett; Orpingtons, \\. A. Sowman; Brown Leghorns, L. Maxted 1 Gold Wyandotte, B. Tasker', of Nelson; Plymouth Rock, W. A. Sowilian; Old English Game, Waring Bros., ot Bichmond. Among the most successful exhibitors are Messrs. Baigent and Betts, oi Nelson. ,
