PATEA WANGANUI CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the albove was held yesterday morning. Present.—Messrs W. Ritchie (in the chair), R. K. Simpson, A. Higgie, R. Nedleon, D. Rose,, H. E. Adams, J. Duncan, and O. S. Bridge. An apology for absence was received from Mr J. .Smith. Minutes.—The minutes of the previous meeting were read and1 confirmed.

New Member.—The Marton Borough Council wrote nominating Mr S. Gibbons as their representative on the Charitable Aid Board, vice Mr Jas. Richardson, deceased.—lt was -resolved that Mr Gibbons ibe nominated.

Rate.—The secretary submitted1 a statement showing the financial position of the Board, and the chairman moved that la levy of 2e 6d in the £1000 be made.' —Carried.

This concluded the business.
