Wanganui Bulb Show.

OPENING DAY.

The Bulb Show in connection with '<ii o. Public Museum opened" yesteixlay. The sight which met the eyes of those who entered the foall was such as to please even the most ardent lover of bulbs. As j had been predicted the show eclipsed any previous show in Wanganui and the promoters are to be heartily congratulated upon their success." Competition was very keen, there being good entries, while the blooms were of am exceptionally high class. The entries "for exlubition only' were splendid and' were greatly admired. Pressure on our space this morning prevents us making detailed reference to the van-cms exhibits. Messrs. Laird and Sons, J- T.^ Sinclair, and A. D. Willis were among the exhibitors, but we may refer in a future issue to their .exhibits. Mr. Alex. Kurd officiated as judge for cut flowers, and Mr. Allison for the decorative class. The following is the prize list: — CUT FLOWERS, Narcissus, Long Trumpet (two blooms). —Mrs. G. Smitth 1, Mrs. Allison 2. Three Narcissi, Long Trumpet (four entries).—Mrs. Babbage 1* Mrs. Allison 2.
