FREEMAN R. JACKSON AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.

At Wanganui yesterday, we had a fair average yarding. Bidding was brisk. Good dairy cows close to calving, also Mand forward cattle, elicited keen competition. Several pens of steers and other useful lines all found purchasers; in fao<t, all the oatt'le sold with tire exception of a pen of backward heifers and a. few odd beasts. Several pens of first-class hoggets and a line of 300 wethers were also yarded, and all found a ready sale, competition being very good. A full entry of pigs, on the whole of poor quality, nearly all sold. We quote: — Cattle.—Light fat, cows £5 10s to £6 12s 6d, light fat steers £8 2s, forwarl steers £7 to £7 10s, 18-months to- 2-year steers £3 17s to £4, empty 15 to 18 months heifers £3 12a 6d, fresh store cows 333 17s to £4, miteh cows (best) £3 2s 6d to £8 10s, do. (good) £7 5s to £7 12s 6o\ do. (medium) £5 10s to £6, others £4 to £5 ss, calves 15s 6d. Sheeip.—Nd fat sheep yarded. Good woolly ioggets 9s 7d to 10s Id, good hoggets 9s 3d to 9s 6d, 2, 4, and 6 tooth wethers 10s 7d. Pice.—Light baconers 36s to £2, best porkers 27s 6d to 295, medium do. 18s 6d to 225, slips 14s to 15s. At Mr. Sinster's clearing sale on Monday • Best draughts £30 to £37, unbroken £13 10s to £20, waggon, drays, and usual odds and ends sold well.
