PLASTICENE WORK.
This class seems to be a very popular one, as it is always well attended, and most of the students show a good deal of interest in their work. All the teachers have now got well into the use of the medium, and a fair proportion of them can model with accuracy. Tlie subject for the morning's work was, "Studies from Nature," as exemplified by "leaves and flowers." The instructor, Mr Andrews, showed how with deft fingers by a few twists and pulls of the plasticene a model of a rose might- be made. He advised teachers, when instructing children, to select their copies from Nature, as a child will more easily and readily model something it is acquainted with and is accustomed to see.
