Joseph Soloman, an action for alleged breach of promise of marriage, was heard in the Supreme Court this morning. The defendant appeared and said he was and always had been prepared to fulfill his promise. Plaintiff's counsel said this was the first they had heard of such a thing, and plaintiff pressed for the only reparation possible in the circumstances. The jury returned a verdict for £125.
