PALMERSTON INDIGNANT AT PROPOSED REDISTRIBUTION OF SEATS.

(per uxited press association.) Palmerstox North, July 12. At a special meeting of the Borough Council held this afternoon to protest against the proposed redistribution of seats, the following resolution was proposed : — " That this Council learns with indignant surprise that another attempt is being made to dismember the Electorate of Manawatu, and hereby enters its strongest protest against any such proceeding ; and, further, that the Mayor be requested to proceed at once to Wellington to place this resolution before the Government."
