CHINESE DEALING IN OPIUM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Fines totalling £175 were imposed by Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., on three Chinese concerned in opium offences. It was mentioned in Court that this type of offence was not now prevalent, because of the shortage of opium.
