SOUTH FEATHERSTON

EUCHRE AND DANCE AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall. The music for the dancing was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra. Extras were played by Mrs Anderson. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr J. Beaty and partner, and Mr Alex. Burt and Miss Marshall. The euchre results were: —Ladies: Mrs Worsley 1, Mrs Flutey 2. Men: Mr Worsley 1, Mr Crombie 2. The gathering was a most enjoyable one, and reflected the greatest credit on those responsible.

Parcels for Soldiers.

The War Service Committoe met in the South Featherston Hall on Saturday and packed a number of parcels which are to be forwarded to local soldiers who are serving overseas. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs G. E. Yule, South Featherston, are visitors to Blenheim for the Yule-Pattie wedding.

Mrs V. Chappell, of Stonestead, is visiting Hastings.
