ST. JOHN’S CHURCH SOCIAL GATHERING. I “Times-Age” Special.) The junior members of St. John's Church held a social gathering in the Parish Hall last evening when a happy time was spent in games, competitions and community singing. The winners of the competitions were Dorothy Raper, Muriel Saunders and Matthew Scott. It was decided to form a Fellowship of Youth Club, and the members are to meet every fortnight. A committee was formed. Supper was provided. Lady Galway Guild. The local committee of the Lady Galway Patriotic Guild has forwarded a case of clothing to the headquarters in Wellington which was provided by the Western Lake, Tauherenikau and Featherston branches. Personal Items. Mrs J. Griggs, West Coast, is the guest of Mrs W. Stewart. Mr F. Dyer, Lyttelton, is visiting his sister, Mrs Chas. Ritchie. Mr W. G. Davis is visiting his daughter, Mrs W. Feast. Soldiers to be Entertained. Soldiers on leave will be entertained at a social gathering by lhe Patriotic Society at the Anzac Hall, Featherston, on Saturday night.
