The Spring Meeting of the Wellington Racing Club commenced on Saturday. The attendance was small, but a good sprinkling of ladies was present. Mr P. F. Tancrcd's Forester won the Flying Stakes of 50 sots, f of a mile ; Tornado was second, and Kivulet third. Forester got the lend and kept it all the way. The Hutt Park Spring Handicap was won by liumor 1, Wailiri 2, Rivulet •!. Fores, ter won the Grand Stand Handicap of 60 sots, Pasha 2, Giriri 3.
Weights will be declared for the Handier p Hurdles, Flying Handicap, and Lower Valley Jockey Club Handicap, on Friday next, Dec. 3rd at 7 p m. at Oil’s Hotel, Maryborough.
