Greytown Butter and Cheese Factory.

A meeting of the directors of the Greytown Cheese Factory Company was betd at the registered office of the company )atl night. Present—Messrs Cuff (in the chair), G Bollard, St George, 0 Phillips, b Kimberley, W Ijdy, and F U Wood, sec. An apology was received from Mr W C Buchanan, regretting his absence Accounts passed amounted to £57 19s. The sub committee reported having accepted P Kelly’s tender for twenty o'>rd »i firewood at 12s fid per cord. Mr W U <y lepurted haying seen to lemoyal of steam engine and its being erected at the factory. The secretary was instructed to order two 12 gallon kegs of rennet from Sutherland. Correspondence was read from Taratahi Dairy Co. stating that they intended charging fid per lb for their cheese delivered at Bailting sale of them, &0., and an agreement wasto way Station lees 2}d off cash discount in accordance with the suggestion' em» enatiug from this company. The chairman reported that the tender for the purchase of whey had fallen through, also that arrangements had been made for the purchase of pigs, attending to them, negotiate drawn up. The manager reported having engaged a boy temporarily at 20s per week. The directors resolved that the boy be engaged tor the season at that rate. It was resolved that a circular saw he purchased from Mr Monckton and fitted to the engine for firewood cutting and that the matter be left in the hands of Mr Udy to arrange.
